I was married to a wonderful tall strong black man for 12 years. I watched him waste away from lung cancer, was with him through all of his cancer treatments and watched him take his final breath and go home to be with the Lord. You should get to know me because I am a tender hearted, loving person who will have your back. If you are my friend, then that is solid, as long as you don't lie to me or play me for stupid. If we meet and date and don't click, that doesn't mean we can't still be friends.
What have past relationships taught you?
Past relationships have taught me to be more open to people's feelings, more willing to help people who are hurting. I regret not always being a person who can just have fun with my significant other without always having to be working on the relationship. While I understand that relationships are work, I also now see that they should sometimes just be about fun and being with the one you love; that being on the same page and having similar views are very important in a relationship. Some differences are nice, but your core beliefs and passions should be the same, IMHO
