First date? I'm afraid I'm woefully out of practice here, but something casual, "lite", and mutually enjoyable would be a good start.

I have a fantastic sense of humor and a very broad appreciation for many things (music, activities, cultures, and people). What am I like? I'm intelligent, sensitive, perceptive (some even call me aloof), humorous (once you get to know me), and honest. If you ask me something, be prepared to hear the answer (if you ask me “does my butt look big in this?” And I think it does, I'll say "yes."). I have formal education, but I've retained my “street sense” and I am very skilled at knowing when to use which. I do not have answers to all of life's questions and to be honest, I ponder such questions a whole lot less now than I used to. I have just enough "jerk" in me to let it be known to those who may consider taking advantage of me and those I love, it won't be easy.

The critical importance of communication. The williness to be flexible and open minded.

I struggle with those mired in "indecision" and tend to "click" with those who know what they want and will communicate that to me. I have enough mischief left in me to keep things interesting, but really try to avoid crossing the proverbial "line."

Conmmunication. Someone once told me "find someone you can talk to, because when you grow old that will be something you will always have.."

A day in which I make someone else's day at least a little bit better. A day that begins with a smile, ends with a smile.

I'm a jock! No, I don't mean the type that will vegetate in front of the TV (although I enjoy watching football). I am a participant, meaning I like to get-into-the game. I like to play golf, road cycle, fly fish, x-country ski, and even snowboarding (I'm a newbie at that one).

I enjoy traveling to outlying places as well as up scale hotels. I speak two languages, English and Portuguese (four if you count boardroom speak and jive).
