I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, predestination and universal causal relationships. I was on a few dating sights quite a few years ago. I Chatted with a few interesting people along with the not so nice booty call looking individuals. It was quite frustrating. Needless to say, I had deleted my profiles. However, I met two individuals, one of which has been a dear friend now for years and the other changed my life in many different ways. But I swore I would never make another profile on a dating site again. It's been years.
Then I checked my mail a few weeks ago and found an ad for Interracial Singles. I was about to delete it and said,"what the hey." I created a profile. I was contacted my many gentleman and I am impressed that they composed themselves very well. To them, I say thank you. But the first day I created my profile, I did a quick glance through and found someone quite attractive in many ways (he was also considered a 93% match according to IR). We continued to send each other smiles and such, but within a few days it became quite frustrating (we were both free subscribers and could not contact each other). Apparently, at the same time, he was also confronted with the frustration and we both broke down to become a member to talk with each other. We immediately hit it off.
We exchanged emails, phone numbers, set up a date midweek, then the following Friday night, and again Sunday afternoon. This man is such a sweetheart. He has called me everyday since we exchanged phone numbers! But the best is yet to come!
Recall that I stated I believe in everything happens for a reason? He has the same beliefs, he works in the field I am currently studying, we have a lot of the same tastes, habits, and even think alike; it is almost scary! But I'm not running!
Perhaps there will be more to come. If there is...then i will print our ID's here. In the meantime, thank you Interracial Singles, for helping me to believe again...and to be proven wrong (that there really are good men out there, and he's been hiding in my back yard!).
