Blow away.
Thank you to Interracial Singles and to the nice women I've talked with. I've only been a member for about two weeks. I don't have a web cam or digital camera, so it was a bit difficult trying to convince some of the ladies to talk with me. A few days of searching led to great e-mails and finally telephone talks. It took about a week for one very special lady to feel comfortable enough to meet for a first date. I could tell by the look on her face she felt as taken with me, as I was with her. I was fortunate enough to see a photo of her posted on her site. We were both very honest and up front during our conversations about how we looked and our likes and dislikes. Five minutes after I was with her in person I felt like I had known her for years. Ladies, I'm not a player so I plan to cool my jets on the Internet and see how things are going between us. My attention is definitely focused on her. I feel, oops, I know she's worth it. I hope she feels the same about me.
She agreed to meet me for an early dinner at a restaurant in her city of residence. I meet her in the parking lot around 4:00pm on Saturday. I was truly blown away when she walked toward me. She looked beautiful, her smile, hair, clothes, every thing. During dinner I felt like I had known her for years. She felt so comfortable she accompanied me shopping at a mall. I'm normally pretty nervous on a first date, but she made me feel at ease while walking around together. I asked her if she would like to attend a friends birthday party later in the evening and she said yes! We even stopped at my place on the way. Don't even think it, she's a lady. I showed her the house and some of my projects. I really enjoyed showing her more about my life. She told me she was a bit nervous about meeting my friends, talking about the interracial thing. Every one loved meeting her and she said she had a great time. After the party I drove her back to her car. I pulled off the side of the street in front of the pay parking lot. Even though it was hours later the same guy was still working. He let me leave the lot for free since he had learned we were on our first date. When I got back with her he knocked half off her parking since she said she had a wonderful time. Thanks parking lot guy!
On Sunday I picked her up at her house for church at 10:00am. It was so nice being in church with a new inspiration at my side. After, we had lunch at a Coney Island near by with my room mate and then we all went shopping together. She came back to the house where we enjoyed hours of pleasant getting to know you talk. I took her home around 5:00pm and the rest is history.
